It would be great to spend a ton of money on anything you wanted.  Sometimes though, you’ve got to be a little bit frugal.  I spend a fair amount of time puttering around the garage.  

While I’m in there, I often find myself coming up with cheap garage storage ideas.  One old idea that I learned from my Dad is a favorite of mine.  I like to use old jars to store small items like screws, nuts, and the like.  The cool part though is that the  jar lids are mounted to the bottom of some old shelves I’ve got mounted on the wall.  The lids are held in place with some small screws.  The jars can then be screwed up into the lids where they hang, out of the way, and easily accessible whenever you need them.  My Dad had a line of about 20 baby food jars that were all labeled and nicely organized.  There are much fancier (and more expensive) options out there to sort small items, but I actually like that I can quickly see what is hanging there, without ever having to open a drawer.
